No classes are held before 3 p.m. on Educational Planning Day, held once per quarter. This is your chance to: 

  • Check in with your advisor to make sure your program completion, graduation, transfer and career goals are on track. ** PLEASE NOTE: Some departments, such as Running Start, will not be able to individually advise every student on Educational Planning Day. Feel free to make an appointment for a date before or after Educational Planning Day.** 
  • Patricipate in group advising activities. 
  • Explore programs that interest you.

Guest Speaker

Each quarter, Engineering invites an engineer from a different discipline tell you more about their career path and recommendations. Questions are encouraged. This quarter's guest speaker is Daniel Dye. 

Daniel is a Senior Transportation Engineer with experience in a variety of transportation projects in the Puget Sound and Central Washington. He has managed or served as the lead analyst for a variety of projects including parking analysis, traffic operations analysis, travel demand modeling, long-range transportation planning, and impact fee program development. His recent South Sound experience includes work for the Cities of Tacoma, Lacey, and Puyallup; Pierce County Parks and Metro Parks Tacoma; Thurston County; and work for WSDOT on the SR 167 project. Daniel relocated to Tacoma this summer and is looking forward to being closer to his clients.
